Calm sea, warmer water and a condo that ends on the sand.
Edifício Privilégio starts at the avenue and ends right on the beach, with a boardwalk over the mangrove, adult and kids' pools, a tennis court and a shared kiosk with three barbecue grills. White sand, a wide beach and a sea with no waves.
The northern beaches face the mainland, so the water is warmer and the sea is calm, good for kids and for anyone who just wants to float. Boats drift by in the distance and the sun sets right in front of you.
Walk out to the beach: to the left are Cachoeira do Bom Jesus, Canasvieiras, Jurerê and Jurerê Internacional. To the right, the little center of Ponta das Canas with restaurants on the sand, then Lagoinha. Over the hill lies Praia Brava, open ocean for surfing.
Ponta das Canas is low-key, and that's the point: what's there stays open all year. Simone only recommends places she goes to herself.
